[00:00:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, hey everyone, welcome back to the Leadership Lessons.

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm your host Daniel Williams and I'm excited for another episode.

[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It's episode 12 of Season 6 where we try to bring you encouraging and equipping content

[00:00:17] [SPEAKER_03]: to help you and the things that got us called YOU to do.

[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And one thing that I know that everyone is called to do is make disciples.

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_03]: It's preach the gospel.

[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It's take care of souls and I know this is a great and huge responsibility

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_03]: and just want to let you know we're praying for you, we're thinking about you

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_03]: and we pray as we continue to go down this road of pouring into you

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_03]: that it bears much fruit but your heart will be softened and encouraged by the word that goes forth

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_03]: that we give these episodes.

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_03]: You know a lot of these episodes in this podcast is really a podcast preaching to preachers in a sense.

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not necessarily me going back and forth with someone but it's trying to bring you good content to help you think about things.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Things that I'm thinking about.

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And on this episode today, I want to talk to you about caring for the Lost.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_03]: You know one thing I've been thinking about a lot is that Proverbs 1130, I believe,

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_03]: it's he who wins souls is wise.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about you but I am longing for a spiritual awakening.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_03]: For people to come to know Jesus.

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_03]: It is the only hope of this world.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_03]: The Bible says that people's eyes are blind to deception and deceit but we have the truth.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_03]: We have life, we have Jesus and His Word and we did declare that because we've been sent by God with this gospel,

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_03]: this good news to set captives free and it's so incredibly rewarding to point people to Jesus

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_03]: to proclaim His good news and to see life transformation.

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And I hope that you're encouraged by that not giving up that you make a difference

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_03]: that there is death and life in the power of the tongue.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And as we speak life into you and as you speak life into others, it matters.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It makes a huge difference.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And this is why we continue to give you preaching and messages and wisdom from others in our network

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_03]: to bless you, to serve you, to encourage you and just to speak life into you.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, this is what we need.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you're tired of it already because it's only September.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And the political scene is going crazy.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_03]: As it always is, there's parties and they're bashing one another and there's so much

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_03]: unkindness and harsh words but we're to season our words with salt and with light

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_03]: and to love one another.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And I just think man, you know what?

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_03]: We need to be caring for the lost, speaking life and love and the gospel into them.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And man, I just think it's so important as we think about all the cultural things

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: happening in this world where people are getting discouraged because violence or political

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_03]: stuff or unkind words or just disappointments in life that we realize how important

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_03]: it is to know that we have the gospel and we are to do make that the first priority.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Remember Paul said that in 1 Corinthians chapter 15.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And this is the first priority that Jesus came a court in the scripture, died of

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_03]: accordance scripture and rose according to scripture.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And we did get it to clear that.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I think one of the best ways that we can love people is preach the gospel to them and

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_03]: win souls.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I want to be about the Father's business.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I know that you do as well and I just want to bring this to the forefront of our mind

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_03]: because we can get so distracted with not only just politics or cultural moments but just

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: things in the church events and so driven on all this different stuff going around

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03]: us that we forget that God wants us to care for the loss, to seek after those, how

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: he seeks after those.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_03]: He came to seek and save the loss so for walking the ways of Jesus we need to go after

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_03]: the loss and when we do we walk and wisdom.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And so this episode I'm going to give you just a guy that's full of compassion, Troy,

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_03]: chapel.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: He is a guy that now works with the loss all the time.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: He has a ministry called the Night of Freedom.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: He and I first connected just working in the recovery scene.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: People are shipped literally from all over the world down to South Florida to try to battle

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: the disease of being addicted to drugs, to alcohol, to so many different things and they

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: become broken.

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And the beautiful thing about the Bible says that God is near to the broken hearted, that

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: he pours out his grace upon those that are humble.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And so a lot of these people coming down to South Florida are broken, they're humbled

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: and they're receiving the gospel.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And so Troy, Pastor Troy, he does these things called Night of Freedom where he targets

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_03]: people in the recovery scene.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And once a month gives out a meal, gives out free iPads, resources, all this different

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_03]: stuff and invites them to stay and hear the gospel.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And we've seen so much fruit, they're preaching the gospel to this movement of recovery.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: In fact, recovery church was darted in birth in this area, South Florida and is going nationwide

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_03]: to really go after those people that are hurting, that are broken, that are in recovery

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_03]: and connecting the higher power and the 12 steps to Jesus and His Word.

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And we're seeing great fruit from it.

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I thought that Troy would be a great one to just swore hearts to stir us and talk

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: about caring for the lost and just put this in the forefront of your mind.

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I know that there's a lot of practical tools that we need to get done and there's things

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_03]: going on, but let us not be distracted from the first priority, from preaching the gospel,

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_03]: from evangelizing, make the disciples and Troy has such a beautiful heart as he's

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_03]: shepherding and pasturing a microchurch, but he's also out in our community doing multiple

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_03]: things, preaching at recovery, doing nights of freedom.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And you're going to see in this leadership lesson, even as passion for the lost, bringing

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: him to tears, it's such a joy to be able to know him, serve with him in this area.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm just excited for you to listen to the lessons that God has taught him about

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_03]: caring for the lost and preaching the gospel.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_03]: And so as I've been thinking about walking in wisdom and wanting and desiring for a spiritual

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: awakening in our nation, in my area, revival and the church.

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't think of a better person to share what God has been speaking to him about

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_03]: how to care for those and to preach the gospel.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And so here's Troy, a chapel with his leadership lesson.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I'm Troy Chapel and I laid a few different ministries mainly freedom recovery.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And we have a nonprofit where we work with people here in Palm Beach County and drug

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: and alcohol addiction.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And there's a lot of things that come out of that, but we have a thing called Night

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_00]: of Freedom.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Once the first Friday of every month that is really an evangelistic outreach to the recovery

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_00]: community and have a number of treatment centers and people that live in halfway houses,

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_00]: so we're living houses that attend the event with a Tuesday night home church called

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: authentic where that's not necessarily geared towards recovery, but we have a lot of people

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_00]: and recovery that come just because of what we do in the recovery space.

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And so you know, recovery is something that God just, I don't know how to explain it,

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_00]: but he just, let me see behind a curtain a world that I knew existed,

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: but didn't really know to the extent that it existed.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And so February of 05, I got invited to a halfway house to observe an acknowledgement

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_00]: class and three weeks later, I was doing the class and God just really gave me a love

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_00]: for people and especially the love for people in recovery.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And so that's really kind of where both mine and my wife's heart is,

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_00]: and that's kind of what I want to talk about today, not recovery necessarily,

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: but being a fisher of men and on the physical side, I'm not really a fisherman,

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_00]: but I do know this that if you're any good as a fisherman,

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_00]: you're going to have to smell like fish and if you don't smell like fish,

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_00]: you probably didn't have a good day fishing.

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_00]: You're not a fish that you should probably smell like fish if you're any good at it.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And so that's kind of what I want to talk about today,

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: are we getting in the space where the fish are?

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, my favorite name for Jesus,

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_00]: probably in all of Scripture's friend of sinners.

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And that wasn't a complementary name when he was called that,

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_00]: but he is a friend of sinners and for us to have impact in the world,

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_00]: we have got to mix with fish.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting, I think I think about Peter,

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_00]: before he was Peter when he was Simon and he had fished all night,

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_00]: and then he had caught nothing and Jesus told him to push out a little further,

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_00]: put down your net and he caught in one catch enough fish to fill two boats,

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_00]: a fish and he's a commercial fisherman.

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_00]: He needs fish to sustain himself or so he thought.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And the interesting part is that after two boatloads of fish,

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_00]: he left the fish and followed the one who provided the fish.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And Jesus told him, you'll no longer be a fisherman,

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_00]: but now you will be a fisher of men.

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_00]: And you know dealing with two boatloads of fish,

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure he would have smelled like fish.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And now Jesus has called him into the world to be a fisher of men.

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And man, that's what he's done with all of us.

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_00]: We need to rub shoulders with those that other people don't want to rub shoulders with.

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to condone behavior,

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_00]: that's not what I'm talking about,

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_00]: but we need to love people where they're at and not be afraid to be accused of things.

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Because we're rubbing shoulders with people.

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus was accused of being a drunkard, a glutton,

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_00]: who are you hanging out with?

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Why were you when translation says, why are you hanging out with such scum?

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I look at my life and this is a challenge for me.

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, God's gifted and anointed each of us differently.

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And so for me, man, I want people to say that.

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Why are you hanging out with such scum?

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Because they need to find the one that can set them free.

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the purpose.

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the reason.

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And I've had such a shifting, especially the slashed.

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll say year and a half for two years from a performance base

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_00]: and trying to be a better Christian,

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_00]: to really just wanting to be a better surrender

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_00]: and follow out the plan and purpose that God has for my life.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I think of Peter and I think here in modern day,

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_00]: it's just crazy to me.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I love Maverick City music.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I love Dante Boe and here Dante Boe gets filmed

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_00]: a while back dancing on a party bus to Bad Bunny.

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And some other stuff happened prior to that

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_00]: and him and Maverick City went there separate ways

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_00]: because of, I'll say, performance because of actions.

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not saying what he did is okay,

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_00]: but if I step back for a minute and I think about this,

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Peter, after he realizes who Jesus is

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_00]: and he goes and follows him to make fishers of men,

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_00]: he made some really bad mistakes.

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know about you.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I've never had somebody looking me

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_00]: and say, get behind me Satan.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And Jesus is telling him this.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And an effort to protect Jesus when he's getting arrested

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_00]: and he cuts the ear off of God.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_00]: And then later that night,

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_00]: he denies that even knows him.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: He turns his back on him completely.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_00]: He didn't dance on a party bus.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_00]: He said, I don't even know the guy three different times.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And yet after Jesus is raised from the dead,

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_00]: he meets Peter on the seashore

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_00]: and recalls him, reaffirms his relationship with him.

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't about Peter's performance

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_00]: or poor performance.

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_00]: It was about a relationship that Christ had

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_00]: and he was willing to walk with him through this process

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_00]: and my willing to walk with people

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_00]: through the process that God has for their life

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, Philippians 1, 6 talks about how God is faithful

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_00]: to complete the good work that he has begun

[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_00]: in each and every one of us.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And you know, people may come to Christ

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: and then their road isn't linear within their walk

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_00]: and it's kind of all over the place

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_00]: that man God is still faithful to complete that work.

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: He is still working in their life

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: even if they are making not the best decisions.

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_00]: He's faithful even when we are not faithful.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_00]: He's faithful even when they're not faithful

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_00]: and they're making bad decisions.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_00]: So if I'm gonna emulate who he is,

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I need to be doing the same thing.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I need to be walking with people

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_00]: as they are not making correct decisions.

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't always make correct decisions.

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Chuck Drod was a Christian singer,

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_00]: he still might be, I don't know.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_00]: But back in the 80s, late 70s, early 80s was Rob Popular

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_00]: and he had a song called Don't Shoot The Wounded

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_00]: and one of the lines of the song says

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_00]: that we can, I'm gonna paraphrase here

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_00]: but basically we can put up with your sin

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_00]: until it exceeds our own.

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Can I walk with people even when they're sin,

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_00]: it exceeds my own?

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Can I be called to the fish

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_00]: even if they don't smell like I do?

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Am I willing to mix and go down these roads

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_00]: with people even when it's difficult?

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And man, I think that God

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_00]: hasn't given us this book of rules.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_00]: He's given us this book of relationship.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we have 16 grandkids

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_00]: and when Grammy is cooking in the kitchen,

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_00]: the rule is, don't put your hand on the stove.

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's really not a rule.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_00]: It's because we love a grandkids

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_00]: and we don't want them to get burned.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_00]: So God has this book.

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Some people look at it as a book of rules

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_00]: but it's really a book of relationship

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_00]: because he doesn't want us to get burned

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_00]: and he is the creator and he's created us in a way

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_00]: that if we follow this book out

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_00]: we are gonna optimize how we're supposed to live.

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And part of that is that we are supposed

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_00]: to walk with people as they go through this journey

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_00]: with the relationship with Christ

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_00]: and not push people aside because they didn't perform

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_00]: and do everything correctly, but to love them

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_00]: and to be with them.

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, and yes, there's consequences

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_00]: that come with those decisions

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_00]: and I get it, I'm not saying let people be in church leadership

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_00]: and do whatever they want to do.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_00]: That's not what I'm saying but how am I gonna walk with them

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_00]: with grace and love and mercy

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_00]: while also sticking to the truth of God's word

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_00]: within correction?

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's really what I wanna kind of

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_00]: to get across today is, man, I don't wanna be

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_00]: about performance, I wanna be about relationship.

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I wanna be about walking with people

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_00]: especially those who really don't do this always the right way.

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, my work within recovery

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_00]: has really opened my eyes.

[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I remember I had just kind of in a piffy knee

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_00]: maybe 10, 11 years ago working at a treatment center

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_00]: and here we are trying to help people get off drugs and alcohol

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_00]: and I'm hearing their stories

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_00]: that are horrendous stories

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_00]: and I have this epiphany like thank God

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_00]: for drugs and alcohol or else some of these people

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_00]: would have just killed themselves.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Instead of numbing themselves

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_00]: and now that here they are in this position

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_00]: that they're saying yes, I'm finally ready

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_00]: to have what was the answer that is now not the answer

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_00]: and to rectify this and go on with my life

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_00]: and get this behind me

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_00]: and it's the same way within the Christian world.

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_00]: There's things that people have been through

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_00]: and gone through

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_00]: and have had happened to them

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_00]: some beyond this out of their control

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_00]: and yes, they might have made other decisions

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_00]: that compounded the things that were out of their control

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_00]: but where would I be if those things would happen to me?

[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Man we need to be there

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_00]: to help people walk this out.

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_00]: When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_00]: one of the most powerful things to me about that story

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_00]: and I believe that actually happened

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I believe that he raised Lazarus from the dead

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_00]: but at the end he told the people

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_00]: go and help him remove his grave close

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_00]: and I will be willing to walk with people

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_00]: to help them remove their grave close

[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_00]: things that they've had for years

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_00]: as far as habits or things that they didn't even know

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_00]: that was wrong because they didn't grow up in church

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_00]: and are we willing to go and help them

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_00]: remove these grave close?

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Man, I think that's what God wants us to do

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_00]: walk with people and the good, the bad and the ugly

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_00]: be willing to smell like a fish

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_00]: be intentional and going to where the fish are.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_00]: You know I look at New Testament church

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_00]: and I'm not against like inviting people to church

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_00]: and invite people to church Sunday

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_00]: and all that stuff but do we have the mindset

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_00]: that I need to invite people to church

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_00]: so that the pastor can get him saved

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_00]: where the New Testament

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_00]: basically that was all happening in the marketplace

[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_00]: and then they were bringing people into the church

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_00]: after bringing them to Christ

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_00]: and if you look at that, how could I do that

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_00]: if I'm not friends with those people

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_00]: to be able to have permission to speak into their life

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_00]: for them to have the opportunity to no Christ

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_00]: and then bring them into the church

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_00]: when I was growing up as a kid

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_00]: my mom would buy me these Christian cartoon books

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_00]: and one of them was about this guy named Brother Andrew

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_00]: and Brother Andrew

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_00]: he was Dutch and he would take bibles

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_00]: and smuggle bibles into like communist countries

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_00]: and there were times in his story

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_00]: where he would be going in

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_00]: and he'd have a suitcase full of bibles

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_00]: and he'd be stopped at a checkpoint

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_00]: and they'd open up the suitcase

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_00]: and look in there and it was like God made his ass

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_00]: appear to be something else

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_00]: because they were obviously bibles

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_00]: and he'd legal to bring them in

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_00]: and they would open it up and check and yeah you're good

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_00]: you can go and then later in life

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_00]: he died about a year ago but later in life

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_00]: he felt called to become friends

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_00]: with people like yes or airfat

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_00]: with like drug cartel leaders

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_00]: because if I can't be friends with them

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna have an open door for them to hear the gospel

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_00]: but if I can be friends with them

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_00]: then they will give me permission to speak into their life

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_00]: so am I just holding the banner holding the standard

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_00]: or am I trying to mix in

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_00]: intentionally with fish

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_00]: so that they give me permission to speak into their life

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_00]: that's the greatest to me, that's the greatest

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_00]: evangelism tool is what I would call permission

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_00]: to be an evangelism when people give you permission

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_00]: to speak into their life

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_00]: and that's only gonna happen

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_00]: when they know that I love them

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_00]: when I care about them

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_00]: even if they're not walking right

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_00]: even if they're not a believer

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_00]: and so that's my thing today is I just want to encourage you

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_00]: man let's not make it about performance

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_00]: let's make it about how am I going to impact people

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_00]: and I'm gonna have to get on their level

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_00]: to some degree to be able to have entrance

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_00]: and to have impact

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_00]: so thank you all so much for letting me share God bless you

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_03]: you know with multiple people on this podcast

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I actually do go deeper

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_03]: and do a deep dive and ask questions with them

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: one of those resources that I am able to do is

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_03]: connect other people with one another

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_03]: and we have a Patreon community where I interview

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_03]: take time to do about a 30 to 40

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: sometimes an hour long interview with some of these guys

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_03]: that are doing this lessons

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to show just a little clip

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_03]: from the Patreon interview

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_03]: because Troy was able to not only show this leadership lesson

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_03]: we were able to talk a little bit more

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_03]: and dive deeper into the compassion

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_03]: caring for the loss, the gospel, what he's doing with his life

[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_03]: all these different things that we discuss

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_03]: and I just want to encourage you

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: if you want to go deeper into some of these lessons

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_03]: that we're learning, you could join our Patreon page

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03]: by a monthly subscription

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_03]: you have access to all of the bonus content

[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_03]: that I provide on this page through this community

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_03]: there are multiple over 20 interviews

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_03]: of people that have been a part of these episodes

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_03]: where I dive deeper into the subject

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_03]: into the content

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_03]: where it guess it is more sort of like

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_03]: learning by question, rambling

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_03]: not just preaching but diving deeper

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_03]: and so I try to incorporate an interview section

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_03]: in every leadership lesson episode

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_03]: to help us process, think, and pray through

[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_03]: what we are learning

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_03]: and so I figured, hey, since I had Troy doing an interview

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_03]: or a leadership lesson, I might as well

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_03]: give you a preview or a piece of our interviews

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_03]: as well as we dive deeper and talk about caring for the loss

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_03]: so check out this simple clip

[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to get a little bit practical

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_03]: because something that you said

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_03]: which I think is super important

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_03]: and wise is your tactic or your methodology

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_03]: for fishing for men, evangelism

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_03]: buying, giving food, buying gift cards, why?

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_03]: just so there's an opportunity chance

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_03]: so they can hear the gospel

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_03]: what, where have you seen other fruitful tactics, methodology

[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_03]: or what are some practical tips

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_03]: for us even as church leaders

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_03]: with the system to think about

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_03]: how do we strategically intentionally be better evangelism?

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so there's many ways to share the gospel

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_00]: over my lifetime, I've done street evangelism

[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I've gone a Marty girl, a Bourbon Street, a Marty girl

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_00]: to where you're not invited to be there.

[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_00]: You have not been given permission to speak

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_00]: into people's lives

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_00]: and that is needed

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_00]: but I would say if you want to look at the most effective ways

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_00]: that's not necessarily the most effective

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_00]: but to the person who gets saved through that

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_00]: it was pretty effective for them

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_03]: and all time, like a shotgun approach

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_00]: yeah, you everything

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_00]: absolutely

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_00]: and so for me on a personal level

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I have what I call the slow drip mentality

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_00]: or the slow drip theology that you continue to drip

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_00]: love on people

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_00]: and eventually

[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_00]: when you do that long enough on a rock

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_00]: the rock cracks eventually

[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_00]: and so long term

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_00]: that's kind of my methodology so to speak

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_00]: and I look at recovery long term

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_00]: which is why I want to give people my card

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to make myself accessible

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_00]: so that when they come to a point in life

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_00]: where they need to do something

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_00]: then they remember, hey

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I can reach out to this guy

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Again, that was an interview

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_03]: from my Patreon page

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_03]: where I give full blown interviews

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_03]: from some of these leaders that are sharing

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_03]: these leadership lessons

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_03]: to dive deeper

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_03]: to talk more

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_03]: to be a little bit more informal

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_03]: and learn in that way

[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_03]: we also have some of these clips

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_03]: and a lot more on YouTube

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_03]: you can go to EE leaders

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_03]: on YouTube

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_03]: and find out our YouTube page

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_03]: and we've dropped in one piece of advice

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_03]: interviews

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_03]: more the leadership lessons

[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_03]: where you can even share all this

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_03]: stuff on video with your team

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_03]: and even talk about it together

[00:27:33] [SPEAKER_03]: and so again

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_03]: we want to resource you

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_03]: the Patreon page

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_03]: is one of those things

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_03]: whereby I'm monthly subscription

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_03]: you help us

[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_03]: by being able to fund

[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_03]: this ministry

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_03]: so we can get more resources out for free

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_03]: and so you can follow us on social media

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_03]: TikTok, Facebook,

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Instagram, Instagram, Instagram, Instagram, Instagram,

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_03]: you can go to YouTube, get more full blown clips

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_03]: of these things to share

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_03]: and again of course

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_03]: you can subscribe to the podcast

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_03]: we do it on video and on audio

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_03]: and as you like these things

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_03]: as you share these things

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_03]: it literally helps

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_03]: more church leaders

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_03]: just find us

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: and so if you have not left a review

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_03]: please do so

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_03]: we really bless by that

[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_03]: and so as we continue to talk about

[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_03]: caring for the lost

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_03]: in this episode

[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I just want to bring to your attention

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_03]: and three people

[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_03]: that are

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_03]: based out of London

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_03]: and doing great work for God

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_03]: they have a compassion

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_03]: and a care for the lost

[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_03]: and they're a part of my cohort

[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_03]: right now going to school getting my masters

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_03]: and how to train people

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_03]: to church plant

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_03]: and revitalize churches

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_03]: and it's an international cohort

[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_03]: about 15 of us

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_03]: and I was recently

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_03]: with my wife

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_03]: in Wales

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_03]: to doing some training

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_03]: about multiplication

[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_03]: and just doing some great school work

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_03]: and mission work

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03]: with these guys

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_03]: and I wanted to share

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_03]: their one piece of advice

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03]: and rather than just one video

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I have all three of these guys

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_03]: because I feel like they're connected

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Harold, Rimi and Tyran

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Harold, Rimi and Tyran

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_03]: they all come out of London

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_03]: where they pastor

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_03]: and shepherd and care for the church

[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_03]: now Harold

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_03]: actually is the regional director

[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_03]: he makes a little funny joke about how long

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_03]: his title is in his one piece of advice

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_03]: but he's the regional director

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_03]: for international

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_03]: holiness of Pinnocostal movement

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_03]: of Western or Eastern European

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_03]: director, something

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_03]: or whatever

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: but he is a man of God full of wisdom

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_03]: and even at his age

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_03]: after he's done so much stuff

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_03]: he is in this program

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03]: because he wants to continue to learn

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_03]: and he's a godly example

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_03]: because he was

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_03]: pastoring a local church

[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_03]: and he passed it on

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_03]: to Rimi

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Rimi is taking this program

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_03]: learning how to revitalize a church

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_03]: and continue to grow in his development

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_03]: and Tyran is a fellow elder

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_03]: minister person that is doing great stuff

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_03]: in the city for outreach

[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Tyran actually works

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_03]: and feeds thousands of people

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_03]: and does his whole directing of job

[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_03]: is just to help people

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_03]: in line with their homeless

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_03]: that are single moms

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_03]: that are on the streets

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_03]: and giving them food

[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_03]: and care and clothing

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_03]: and so I just love

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_03]: how one through one local church

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_03]: you have a director of the nation

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_03]: you have a local pastor

[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_03]: who grew up in this church

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Rimi

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_03]: and now is the pastor

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_03]: shepherding there

[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_03]: but he's discipling

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_03]: and pouring into Tyran

[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_03]: who's doing great work

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_03]: and learning through outreach

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_03]: and so you just see

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_03]: that when you're driven

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_03]: by caring for the lost

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_03]: and reaching the nations

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_03]: how much of an impact it can make

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_03]: and one of the reasons I wanted to play

[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_03]: all three of these one piece of advice for you guys

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_03]: is because this comes

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_03]: from out from a local church

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Harold, Rimi, and Tyran

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_03]: there are guys that are ministering

[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_03]: they're even going to school together

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_03]: and building one another up

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_03]: there's a school of London

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_03]: that they're part of

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_03]: they're doing all those different stuff

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_03]: but they're doing it in community

[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_03]: and I hope that you remind it

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03]: as we talk through this episode

[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_03]: that we're doing this thing through community

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_03]: yes, you're one person

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_03]: but together we are better

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_03]: and as we all focus on caring for the lost

[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_03]: or certain episodes

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_03]: wisdom from women or

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_03]: thinking about cross-cultural missions

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_03]: and as I bring up these sort of topics

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_03]: and it's, it's touches your spirit

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_03]: know that you're not alone

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_03]: know that you're not the only one

[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_03]: praying for revival

[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_03]: and our spiritual awakening

[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_03]: and you want this next generation

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_03]: to carry the gospel

[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_03]: and impact the nations

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_03]: and so

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_03]: as I expose new people to you

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I pray that if you need to reach out to them

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_03]: feel free to connect with them

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_03]: feel free to reach out to me

[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_03]: and I pray that you're not alone

[00:31:41] [SPEAKER_03]: and I pray that you're not alone

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_03]: as we are doing this together

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_03]: and there's many church leaders

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_03]: that maybe we've never heard of

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_03]: or they're not on the preaching circuit

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_03]: but yet there are part of God's kingdom

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_03]: and very well known by the Lord

[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_03]: and I love when this community

[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_03]: connects with one another

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_03]: and does things together

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_03]: and so Harold, Remy and Tyran

[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_03]: are doing their thing

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_03]: and we're going to be there

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_03]: and London, it's blessed to be able to be a part of a cohort

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I've learned a lot from these guys

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_03]: and they're just humility, they're love for one another

[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_03]: for me, for the cohort

[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_03]: and so awesome to see them

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_03]: caring for the loss

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_03]: and so here are there

[00:32:16] [SPEAKER_03]: one piece of advice

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_03]: three simple, three one pieces of advice

[00:32:19] [SPEAKER_03]: but I know you're going to be blessed by it

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_01]: My name is Harold Presley

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_01]: and in Mission's been in Mission's

[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_01]: 34 years, Pastor in the USA for 10 years before that

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_01]: on the Regional Director in Northwest Europe

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_01]: for the International Pentecostal Holdings Church

[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_01]: World Mission Ministries

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_01]: we're trying to get up with a longer name

[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_01]: but we haven't come up with it yet

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You know if I had one piece of advice

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_01]: it would be if it's not worth dying for

[00:32:54] [SPEAKER_01]: such a self-free

[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_01]: just such a self-free

[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_01]: if God has called you

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_01]: to pastor, to be an evangelist, to be a church,

[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_01]: plant, or a missionary, whatever

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_01]: if God has called you

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_01]: it will ensues your life

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_01]: and it'll be worth dying for

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_01]: which means anything that comes

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_01]: its problematic difficult

[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_01]: it won't be an issue for you

[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's worth it, it's worth it

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_01]: so there will be nobody

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_01]: who will be able to threaten you

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_01]: no demon will be able to discourage you

[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_01]: no difficult time

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_01]: will cause you to feel depressed

[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_01]: and the Holy Spirit of course will enable you in that

[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_01]: that's my advice

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Hi, my name is Remy

[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Remy Isaacs

[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I am the lead pastor in a church in London

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_02]: England, I'm an anerical latin stone

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_02]: and what is one piece of advice

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I can give to leaders or pastors

[00:33:56] [SPEAKER_02]: well, how many church for a long time

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_02]: and being a pastor?

[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_02]: One thing I would say is

[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_02]: keep it simple, be real, be honest

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_02]: and don't tell yourself so seriously

[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_02]: being a leader, there's a lot of pressure

[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_02]: anyway

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_02]: but I believe the Holy Spirit helps us

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_02]: not to have pressure

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_02]: he actually takes the pressure

[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I finally takes the pressure off

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_02]: and he says okay

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_02]: that was done, don't worry about it

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_02]: move on

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_02]: so I would just say don't tell yourself

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_02]: so seriously keep the main thing

[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_02]: and just really love people, love people

[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_02]: they will betray you

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_02]: they might not like you

[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_02]: it might speak behind your back

[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_02]: but because you so filled with the love of God

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_02]: you so pray for them and you so love them

[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_02]: that's not one piece of advice

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_02]: that's like 55, so go bless you

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Hello, my name is Tyran Julian

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_04]: from London

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I serve at a church called Fountain of Life

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_04]: and that is what you are, a fountain of life

[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_04]: to be holy authentic in everything that you do

[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_04]: do not reject the things

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_04]: and the way that Jesus created you

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_04]: he created you unique

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_04]: and that is your position

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_04]: remain in that unique position

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_04]: and you'll be part of the global movement

[00:35:18] [SPEAKER_04]: changing the world

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_03]: be yourself

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_03]: well, and just like that

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_03]: episode 12 is coming to an end

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_03]: caring for the loss, caring for souls

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_03]: and caring for the people

[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_03]: and caring for the people

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_03]: and caring for the people

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_03]: that are really important

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_03]: to be able to really think through

[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_03]: how God has called us to care for souls

[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_03]: and so I just want to let you know

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm praying for you

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's awesome that we get to do this thing

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_03]: together next episode episode 13

[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_03]: we're going to talk about what happens

[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_03]: when God calls us to care for souls

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_03]: and tells us to go

[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_03]: to the mission work across cultural missions

[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_03]: we're going to have Jeremy

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_03]: by the Honah, I've done an interview with him

[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_03]: on the Patreon and sharing in these episodes

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_03]: but I'm actually going to have him do a leadership lesson

[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_03]: on reaching the culture

[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_03]: for the loss, I'm going to interview a missionary

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_03]: and church planner from Brazil

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Kakah about how to learn

[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_03]: different aspects of the culture

[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_03]: and then interview and give

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_03]: a one piece of advice video from Gretchen

[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_03]: who's in Belgium

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_03]: so a lot of missionaries

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_03]: on the next episode

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_03]: because as we're caring for the loss

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_03]: God will send some of us to go

[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_03]: for most of us we're staying

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_03]: we're in a local context

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_03]: but others will have to go across a culture

[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_03]: or a different culture

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_03]: to reach people for the loss

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_03]: and that's a part of God's work

[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_03]: so I'm excited to share that episode with you

[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_03]: but until then

[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_03]: man, God bless you

[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_03]: we're praying for you

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_03]: and pray that we have a compassion

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_03]: to reach those at the loss

[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_03]: my God do a great work

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_03]: and may you see his kingdom come on earth

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_03]: as it isn't heaven

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_03]: wherever you are in the world

[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_03]: man, thanks so much for listening

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_03]: to this episode

[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_03]: God bless you guys
