Hi everyone! You may know that over the last year or so we've had to navigate a lot of change and challenges at Creation Fest. Some of these have included change of leadership and core team, changes in financial support, lower income generally and rising running costs to name a few. But despite all that, by the grace of God Creation Fest 2025 was an amazing time were once again we saw God move in a powerful way.
What was the highlight for our team? Honestly, it was watching this thing that existed for a long time within emails, zoom calls and planning documents come to life, with some of the most amazing people bringing their gifts and talents doing what they can . It was humbling to me to see the sum become greater than the parts. But it also made us realise that this is not 'my' festival, but it belongs to the hundreds of people who make it happen and the thousands who join us every year. It's our festival, and most importantly it's God's.
With this in mind we want share with you an honest update of where we are as an organisation. We knew that this year was not going to be easy financially but over the past couple of weeks we've faced the stark reality that financially we're in a position that is just not possible to continue with. In the natural, without any intervention or other provision we are at the point where we will have to close the organisation.
As you can imagine as a team it's a sobering position to be in. But we've sensed it's the right thing to make this urgent need public and to invite people to stand with us in this time, particularly those for whom Creation Fest has meant so much in their faith journeys over the years.
So we're running a Crowdfunder campaign for the next week (finishing Wednesday 12th 7pm) where we will need to raise a minimum of £60k to be able to continue. This is the basic figure we need just to be able to continue. If we reach the target, then it will help us clear our deficit and any more that is raised it will go straight to helping our team organise our 25th festival next year - one we've already started planning and feel really excited for! It'll also help fund Glow, our youth ministry that sees hundreds of young people from around Cornwall gather to worship throughout the year, and other potential outreach activities that are in the pipeline. £80-100k would see us really flying into the coming year.

Today we find ourselves today humbled, and somewhat at the end of what we can do naturally, but also still feeling hopeful that God isn't finished with Creation Fest. But we trust him in it all, no matter what happens. Psalm 119 says 'your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light on my path', so as well as financial giving, we'd encourage you to pray with us as we seek him for the future of Creation Fest, particularly in this coming week, and for God's will to be done here - we submit to that whatever it looks like.
