Waiting for God to come down, for Messiah to intervene, for peace to become a reality. In the year 2020, a year plagued with so much brokenness, Advent is just the right season for followers of Jesus—to say "No" the mad-dash of Black Friday, to the stress and consumerism. To say "Yes" to Jesus' coming. To seek him, to pray. And ask that he come again.
This is a poem based on Isaiah 40v1-11, a traditional reading during the week of "Peace".
